Roomers,Baden-Baden

“Roomers Baden-Baden – Autograph Collection, is both a lively lifestyle hotel and a relaxing getaway at the same time. Designed by the renowned Piero Lissoni, it is the place to be for both, international guests and Black Forest locals. The pan-Asian cuisine of the restaurant moriki treats you to culinary delights, while the bar culture invites you to try exciting mixologies. With spa, gym and a rooftop pool for activity and wellness in the black forest.”

...and as an addition to the quote taken from the official hotel website, I'd like to add that Roomers Baden-Baden is part of the Gekko Group, one of its main lines being the hospitality business.

Now, the official part is over, and from here on, it's only my impressions, emotions, story, and photos :)

My acquaintance with the hotel happened by chance - we arrived in Baden-Baden too early, with more than an hour left before the scheduled meeting with friends and it was decided to while away the time with a cup of coffee. According to tradition, we could choose a café in the historic city center, but my soul longed for something different, something new. I remembered a place I had heard a lot about but had never visited - Roomers, a hotel designed and created by one of my favorite architects and interior designers, Piero Lissoni.

But let's briefly touch upon Baden-Baden itself. It's an ancient city that has seen Celts and Romans, combining various styles and periods. However, its current architectural image was mostly shaped in the mid-19th and early 20th centuries, displaying the architectural heritage of the Belle Époque in its most beautiful form.

And then, in 2016, Roomers burst onto the scene. It is fundamentally different from the style associated with Baden-Baden that I mentioned earlier, but it has seamlessly integrated into the urban environment by adding some very stylish contemporary elements to it.

And now I want to smoothly transition to the interior because it captivated me at first sight, and here's why.

Hotel Lobby

Firstly, the details. I love details, always pay attention to them, and the phrase 'God is in the details' perfectly reflects the interior concept of the hotel.

Secondly, a light blend of styles, items that refer to past centuries. I adore eclecticism in its most moderate manifestations (such as in Roomers BB) up to its maximum concentration. If at first glance, you may think that the hotel's interior is purely elegant minimalism, then you later realize that it's elegant minimalism seasoned with a touch of Black Forest charm and the addition of contemporary (and not only) art objects.

Piero Lissoni achieved a very challenging task - he created a modern five-star hotel, technologically advanced, perfectly styled, but preserved the local authenticity. When you enter there and, after the initial 'wow' effect from the space and the overall interior, start paying attention to the details, you understand that you are in the good old Baden-Baden, surrounded by the Black Forest (and the tales of the Brothers Grimm), and it's beautiful. This requires true craftsmanship and talent.

With this, I'll end my stream of eloquence and invite you to take a walk through the hotel with the help of my photographs.

I won't write much more, I'll just add that the contrast between the billiard table that's around three hundred years old and the Bearbrick is delightful... and I really like the Cassina chairs too.

Suite 506 is bright and stylish. It's perfect for spending time with a partner or alone. By the way, it has an excellent selection of books... and a wonderful yellow giraffe :)

Simply beautiful…I took these photos in October when autumn has already taken its place - the greens have changed their shades from vibrant green to deep, muted but vivid greens, infused with warm tones, creating a beautiful contrast with the textures of the terrace and the hotel building itself.

The rooftop bar was not in my plans; I went up there after the shoot to have a coffee, relax, and enjoy the wonderful view. However, I couldn't resist and ended up taking a few shots there too.

Thanks the entire team at Roomers Baden-Baden for the pleasant collaboration
